Dr. Meng obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Delaware in 2016, under the direction of Prof. Fioralba Cakoni and Prof. David Colton. He held postdoctoral positions at the University of Minnesota (2016--2017) and the University of Michigan (2017-2020). He became an assistant professor in 2020 in the  Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been an associate professor since 2021.

In general, Dr. Meng is broadly interested in computational mathematics, inverse problems, machine learning, and data science. His long-term research goal is to work as an applied mathematician to address interdisciplinary challenges spanning science, engineering, and technology.  See the research page for more information.
