Dr. Meng is an assistant professor at The University of Texas at Dallas.
Dr. Meng obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Delaware in 2016, under the direction of Prof. Fioralba Cakoni and Prof. David Colton. He held postdoctoral positions at the University of Minnesota (2016--2017), Brown University (2017 Fall), and the University of Michigan (2017-2020). During COVID19 pandemic, he became an assistant professor (2020--2021) and an associate professor (2021--2024) in the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2024--2025, he was a senior research associate in the Department of Mathematics at Virginia Tech.
Dr. Meng is broadly interested in applied and computational mathematics, inverse problem and imaging, waves in complex media. He is also interested in machine learning. See the research page and teaching page for more information.
